There are several possibilities:

Theory sounds nice, as always. You start the client, it notices your box is capable of running the new stuff. You click a button and some time later the download is finished and you can install the new artwork.

Back to reality: It did not work. At least not for me. I clicked the button. It stated: Starting download. Seconds later the button reappears and nothing more happens. And that’s if you are lucky. If it really starts it floods your connection, making any online activity nearly impossible. If you think: “Deinstalling the sh*t will help!” you are wrong. If you deinstall the eve client there is no more way to stop the download without using the command line. Thats user-friendliness a la Microsoft.

Torrent

Yeah, well, not exactly …You have to download an executable. That should make anyone, who has ever used a bt-client suspicious. What you get is a Bittorrent DNA Client. That thing install itself into your Control Center without asking and further notice, nor does it leave a link in the start menu. Furthermore it stays active even after canceling the download ,without showing any icon or similiar, communicating with other peers. Not a very nice behaviour…

Conclusion:

Someone at CCP got a serious infection with the “If you can’t pay for it, it’s not good”-virus. I hope they learn from their mistakes.

My only problem is, that I prefer the newer Genshi/SQLAlchemy/Elixir solution over the stable version of TG. The 1.1 branch really feels like a development branch: Nothing works.

I needed an hour to figure out how to get my objects committed into the database and it still not works in every case.
At the moment i cant even upgrade to the latest version, because of incompatible, not-working changes to the codebase. I hope someone fixes that in the next few days.

At least a bit more interesting: We are camping a jumpgate somewhere in your space …
Bad side: There are only friendlies on the other side. Not one hostile showed up.
But i love this new upload-feature of my blog (Spend some more time updating everything) so more screenshots from eve-online.
